Busting the Mehrabian Myth
Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009I’ve already written here about the misinterpretation of a study done by Mehrabian, which would have you believe that the words you speak account for only 7% of what people understand. (The other 93% is conveyed, supposedly, by your tone of voice and body language.)
Olivia Mitchell has done a great job here examining the original research and how people have misinterpreted it.
